What is Biofeedback Therapy?
Biofeedback Therapy is mind-body training. It helps people gain control over distressing symptoms such as pain, anxiety and stress-related illnesses and disorders.
Sensors placed on the body measure activity such as breathing, muscle tension, heart rate, skin temperature, skin conductance (sweat) and brainwaves (used in neurotherapy).
Dr. Valdez uses medical-grade equipment to rapidly and accurately “feed back” this information to her clients. This information — often in conjunction with cognitive and behavioral work — helps clients gain control over their symptoms and make changes that could last a lifetime.
